The PaintBox carries hard to find raw materials and vessels for use by artists and artisans.

This can include restorers, musical instrument makers, icon painters, furniture makers, and conservators including a wide range of gums, resins, chalks, and waxes. The widest range of Raw Materials & Pigments in Australia is available from our shop, both in stock and by special order.

We source pigments from the USA, Netherlands, the Middle East, and Afghanistan. We carry rarities such as Han Purple, Premium Grade Lapis Lazuli, Cinnabar, Rose Madder and Malachite in addition to a full range of Cobalt and Manganese pigments.

At The PaintBox, we also hold workshops on pigment handling and paint making in terms of oils, watercolours, tempera and milk paint.
