What Personal Information About Customers Does PaintBox Art Supplies Gather?
The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve the shopping experience at The PaintBox. Here are the types of information we may gather.
- Information You Provide Us: We receive and store any information you may enter on our website or provide to us via other methods. This information may include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses etc. Website activity and history such as searches, purchases, incomplete orders, review postings, and emails sent to The PaintBox may also be collected. You can choose not to provide certain information; this may however limit your ability to take advantage of the many features our website can offer. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, fulfilling orders, customizing future shopping for you, improving our store features and to communicate further with you.
- Automatic Information: We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our website. For example, like many websites, we use cookies to store certain types of information about your visit to our website, this information can be recalled when your web browser accesses our website.
- E-mail Communications: Most of the online order correspondence is carried out via email as this is typically the most convenient method of touching base with our customers and advising the status of any online order. Does The PaintBox Share Any Information It Receives?
We respect your privacy and appreciate your business. At no time do we ever provide your account contact or payment information to any third-party vendor, associate or service provider unless absolutely necessary in order to complete your transaction and order.
How Secure Is Information About Me?
We work to protect the security of any sensitive information you may transmit to us by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. During payment processing and within other secure areas of our website this Secure Layer encrypts the information you provide to us. Only the last few digits of your credit card number are stored after placing an order, we do however transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card processor or merchant during payment, again this information is encrypted to avoid risk. Whilst we maintain steps to protect your data it is important for you to also protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you have finished using a shared computer by logging out of your account on our website.
Which Information Can I Access?
PaintBox Art Supplies gives you access to a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with us for the limited purpose of viewing, and in certain cases, updating that information in addition to our Loyalty Programme. A detailed history of previous transactions linked to your account is also accessible.

ART MENTORING
2.5 hours from 10.00am to 12.30pm regularly on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Mornings and Wednesday Mornings when available. 8 students maximum.
Bring in your art project and materials or choose a studio project and work with the assistance of an artist in a friendly studio setting. Tables and table easels are available or you may book a standing easel. Oils, acrylics, watercolour, multimedia, drawing and collage. Kits available to hire or purchase.
IMPROMPTU ART EXPERIENCES
Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, and Wednesday afternoons where available.
Impromptu Art experiences are the perfect way to create with friends or simply get lost in your own creativity. These sessions are fully self-guided and PaintBox staff members are available to assist if you get stuck. We also have art books, art objects and fresh flowers to keep you inspired. Grab a kit and head to the studio or plein air sessions in our garden when available (subject to wedding bookings). Allow between 30 minutes to two hours, as is your preference in the given time slot.
STUDIO PASS
Available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays subject to prior bookings.Sessions times in the morning 10am till 1pm; in the afternoon 2pm to 5pm and the evening from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
Our studio is available at a concessional rate for homework and project bookings enrolled full time art students of ACSA and University SA. Shared studio capacity six persons.
LARGE CANVAS PAINTING

Go Big or Go Home! Join us for an afternoon or evening of large canvas painting at The PaintBox in Thieles Shop and create your new favourite piece of art for your home. It’s time to finally fill the empty spot above your sofa with something you love - email us reference photos of art you’re inspired by and if suitable and we can pre sketch it onto your canvas for you so you’re not starting from scratch. Additional daytime studio passes are available to purchase if you need extra time. No experience necessary, each ticket includes all supplies and admission for 2 people to paint 1 canvas (coming solo is more than ok!). After you paint your piece, leave it with us for framing. At the end of the next week, it’s ready for you. We can deliver it for a small fee if you can’t take it home yourself! The large and larger both fit in a large car or wagon but the largest had to be transported in a moving van or truck.

Choose from a wide variety of projects and themes tailored to your event in our friendly and professional studios. Complementary bubbles or non-alcoholic spritzer on arrival.

Teenagers to adults, no unaccompanied children under the age of 16. For complex work see private tuition above. Cancellations less than three weeks from bookings are not refundable other than by way of store credit. Please refer to our cancellation policy for terms and conditions. Refreshments and light meals available from our in house cafe.
