Belle Arti No.38 Oil Primed Extra Fine Linen is 361GSM has been prepared with two coats of oil based primer giving it a rich oily surface with excellent adhesion qualities, suitable for oil painters requiring a smooth surface
Belle Arti surfaces are Italian-made, offering a fantastic range of traditional stretched linen and cotton canvases. Using the finest linen thread from France, the woven linen is primed and stretched to the highest standards. All the linen and cotton canvases are stretched to the reverse giving a clean edge suitable for displaying without a frame. Belle Arti primed linen and cottons from Italy offer the finest affordably priced quality linens on the market. They supply a choice of weights and textured weaves from extra fine to coarse, and a choice of hand or machine-primed finishes using universal or oil primer. Universal primer allows for a variety of painting mediums to be used on a surface that has properties of medium absorbency. Oil primed canvases produce a rich oily surface with excellent adhesion qualities.
Belle Arti are also unique in producing primed linens in two widths, 216cm and 310cm. These dimensions cater for artists wishing to explore larger work. Primed linens are also stretchable yet stable, two vital components in producing a reliable surface on which to produce quality artwork.

We will expertly make this canvas for you using the material of your choice with strongly engineered timber stretchers. The magenta diagrams show stretcher/ bracing configurations: Without a Stretcher; With a Single Stretcher; With a Cross Brace, With a H Brace and the largest oblong canvases having Double H Bracing.
Oversized stretched canvas orders, those with two or more sides longer than 160 cm, will need to be delivered by a specialist courier company and will incur an additional location-dependent delivery charge. Once we’ve received your order we will contact you with confirmation of the delivery cost and arrange a convenient delivery date.
Our custom made canvases can take up to 10 days to make, so please also allow for the courier service delivery time to your address. If you require your canvas by a specific date, please email us or call us on 08 8388 7776 and we will let you know if we are able to schedule your canvas ahead of time.
Because each bespoke canvas is made to order, we are unable to cancel orders after they have been placed.
