Michael Harding V1 Damar Varnish (also spelled DAMAR) is a versatile varnish creates a subtle gloss finish. Michael Harding Dammar Varnish is made from the best quality damar resin from Thailand dissolved in double rectified Portuguese maritime turpentine, then carefully filtered. Apply as a final picture varnish to thoroughly dried oil paint, six months minimum and if paint is very thick one year.
Please note that Damar (also spelled Dammar) can not be dissolved in odourless or low toxic solvent which is a petrochemical. If in doubt ask our staff how to proceed.
