Archaic texts refer to the use of the resin in the production of paints, adhesives, and dyes. Commiphora myrrh is native to Somalia, Oman, Yemen, Eritrea, (Somali Region) of Ethiopia and parts of Saudi Arabia. This Miteega Arabian Myrrh is more brittle and gummy than the Somali variety.
